Media Release
Ticket Sales Start Tuesday
February 21st 2012
The Lottery will remain with the same format that has been successful for the Foundation: tickets will remain at $104.00 each, with only 1200 being sold. There will be a total of 158 draws, awarding $50,000.00 in cash prizes over a period of 12 months.
The Monthly Lottery proceeds have been allocated towards the purchase of specialized monitoring systems for the Women’s Health and Birthing Centre. These monitors support comprehensive care for both mother and baby, potentially from the beginning of pregnancy to after the birth of the baby. They will ensure a complete and all-embracing coverage across the obstetrical care continuum, combining survellience and immediate notification of potential vulnerability.
In order to be eligible for the $1,000.00 Previous Purchaser draw being made Wednesday, April 4, 2012 qualifying ticket buyers must purchase their tickets by 5:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2012. Early Bird ticket purchasers who buy their tickets prior to 5:00 pm Friday, April 13, 2012 will be eligible for an additional chance at $1,000.00 to be drawn Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Following these two preliminary draws, monthly draws will take place on the last Wednesday of every month, beginning April 25 with the exception of December, which will be drawn on the 19. Thirteen prizes totaling $4,000.00 will be awarded every month, including the top prize of $1,000.00, second prize of $600.00, third prize of $400.00 and ten additional prizes of $200.00 each.
The Board of Directors and staff of BUH Foundation are grateful and thankful for all the past support shown for the Monthly Lottery, and wish all ticket purchasers of the 2012 Monthly Lottery the Best of Luck!
