Festival of Trees is Moving Back to WDM
March 10th 2017
BUH Foundation’s Festival of Trees is Moving Back to WDM!
We’ve come full circle! As Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation prepares for the 2017 Festival of Trees, we look back at the amazing successes experienced over the past 21 years. In 1996, BUH Foundation held their first Festival of Trees in the Western Development Museum (WDM) and it was a successful venue for this fundraising event for many seasons. BUH Foundation’s Festival of Trees has changed venues over the years as the Foundation feels that it is important to embrace and utilize change, to always stay fresh and exciting. The Foundation appreciates and is grateful for the support received at each of our past venues.
The Festival of Trees starts on Friday, December 1, 2017 and will end on Thursday, December 7, 2017. The week will include a Formal Evening, seasonal family activities, and plenty of public viewing of the beautifully decorated seasonal items, trees and wreaths with the opportunity to bid through silent auction. Please mark your calendars for this much anticipated seasonal event in the Battlefords and watch for exciting details to follow!
The local needs of BUH and Battlefords Region Home Care (BRHC) still exist to replace aging equipment and continue to support the goal to meet the needs of patients in an efficient, timely and safe manner. Over the past 20 years, funds raised through Festival of Trees have been allocated to support the purchase of medical equipment for BUH and BRHC including BUH’s Laboratory, Operating Room and the Palliative Care Unit.

About Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation:
Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation is dedicated to enriching patient care at BUH through responsible stewardship of community contributions and volunteer resources. BUH Foundation, operating independently of other healthcare organizations, is the main fundraising agency of BUH and provides funding for the purchase of capital/non-capital equipment and staff education. Through a bequest from Victor Pearsall in 2011, BUH Foundation began the Victor Pearsall Home Care Fund allowing funding for Battlefords Region Home Care. For more information about BUH Foundation visit www.buhfoundation.com.
It would not have been possible without our local sponsors and volunteers. The planning and execution of this event is quite extensive and we truly appreciate each individual and business that has joined us in the past.
