Don't Miss "...A Little Black Dress Affair"
October 31st 2011
Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation’s Festival of Trees is quickly approaching, with festivities planned from Thursday, November 24, to Saturday, November 26, 2011.
“..a little black dress affair..” is the theme for the 2011 Festival of Trees Ladies Night. However, as the Chairs of Ladies Night, Brenda Sparrow and Deb Wohlberg, are quick to point out, “It might be called “a little black dress affair” but you can wear any colour you like and it doesn’t have to be a dress! We thought it would be fun to provide the opportunity for ladies to throw on some bling, slip on some high heels, wear something classy and hang out with their girlfriends. This whole evening is about having lots of fun and supporting a very worthwhile local charity to enrich healthcare in our community.”
Over the years, Ladies Night has grown to be an incredibly popular event. This year doors open at 5:00pm and wine tasting will commence at 5:30pm followed by dinner. Fundraising efforts will be supported through live and silent auctions, as well as raffle prizes. There will be many opportunities to take home that “special” something. As well the live auction will provide a chance to bid on a select few gentlemen from the community to be your “server” for the evening. There won’t be one for every table so be sure to get your bid in! There will also be the opportunity to have a great memento of the evening with the purchase of a photograph of you and your girlfriends. Warne Noyce of Warne Photography has graciously agreed to be the 2011 Ladies Night Official photographer, and photos of you and your girlfriends can be purchased that very evening. He is a well known photographer and has received a number of awards including the Portrait Photographer of the Year from the Professional Photographers of Canada group and has just opened a photo studio in
Proceeds from BUH Foundation’s Festival of Trees have been allocated to purchase monitors and IV pumps for Emergency, the Chemotherapy Unit, the Surgical Unit and Women’s Health & Birthing Centre.
BUH Foundation’s Board of Directors is very grateful for all the support and contributions from local businesses and individuals ensuring the success of the 2011 Festival of Trees. They thank Gold Eagle Casino/SIGA for their continued support as the major Diamond Sponsor of Festival of Trees, and G & C Asphalt Ltd for their continued Silver Sponsorship for Ladies Night.
Plan to attend this event on Thursday, November 24, Gold Ridge Centre,
