“Star” José Pruden

Occupation: Social Worker - Director of Wellness at BRT6HC 

Dance Experience: Started dancing at age 4 and was one of the first students at Annette’s School of Dance, continuing through high school. Known for bringing energy to every dance floor she steps onto; José is back in action for a great cause!

José is thrilled to join Swinging with the Stars, combining her love for dancing and community support, especially for healthcare in the Battlefords. Although she might not consider herself a "star," she’s determined to give it her all. As she turns 50, José’s ready to hop, leap, and twirl for healthcare—she’s asking for your support and maybe a little help with her recovery fund too!

“Professional” Shannon Hamilton-Rask 

Occupation: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at the Battlefords Union Hospital 

Dance Experience: Highland dancer since age 3, performing and competing across Canada and Scotland. Shannon now shares her passion as a dance teacher and is excited to be back for her second year in Swinging with the Stars.

Shannon found Swinging with the Stars to be an unforgettable experience last year and is back, ready to give it her all alongside José. She’s thrilled to share her love for dance with a new partner and raise funds for the local hospital that means so much to her.
